Another little fact I overlooked was that it was called 12 Month Internet Millionaire, which implies that it's completely for the internet.

I still maintain that the information that is given is excellent but it is mis-sold as a guide to making money on the internet.

Also, it's not suitable for people on a budget. The way he generates sales is through magazine advertising which can get pretty expensive quite quickly.

I can sum it up in two words…

You Know

ROFL. That's the same thought I had when I was reading the included PDF. After reading so many "you know"s, I was leery of listening to the actual MP3 files and the further along I went, I began wondering why the transcriber didn't to them a favor by just editing them all out. :/

On another note, I believe that it was promoted so heavily for being an online resource that most people were of the same mindset (I know I was). Specifically, one mailing I received said that he moved from offline to online business and he shares his methods -- to me, that says he'll be revealing tips for improving an online business.

Your review summed it up quite nicely. Frankly, I'd go so far as to warn people against it just for the "you know" thing; he truly should work on that, especially for audio interviews -- it does become excessively distracting while reading, I can only imagine listening.

I think more than anything I would have a hard time myself charging such high amounts just for an ebook.

You go to your local bookstore and you can pick up a good book for $10-$20 so why can you charge 5-10 times that for a non-tangible ebook.

Exactly. When I was discussing Day 6 with my friends, I couldn't help bursting out in laughter at the logic -- just double up the price.

I won't be doing an IM related product and if I do an ebook, it will probably be accompanied by software or a web script to add some value.

Whenever you do decide to participate, let me know so I can link you up. :)

The pricing structure was something that I forgot to mention. It just seems way too expensive to price an ebook like that. Maybe if you could create a package, utilizing ebooks, software video and audio then you could justifiably charge high amounts.

I might try the challenge at some point, it definitely won't be in the internet marketing arena though. I would be looking for 2-4 good related products that I can package up.

Good luck with your challenge too!

I'm actually participating in the challenge and documenting my results with it day by day so others can see what it's all about -- kind of like an on-going review.

Like you, I have my reservations about making the $20,000 in 20 days -- moreso after reading Day 6 (product pricing). Whether it can work in an internet marketing niche depends, I believe, on who you are and who you know. If you're brand-spanking-new to the IM circle, you may not have much luck the first time around. In that case, anyone who's trying this method should probably stay away from marketing IM related products and seek out a different niche.

Out of curiosity, I know you said you haven't attempted the advice in the book, but were you going to do the challenge? I'm trying to compile a list of all the people blogging the challenge for my final round up post at the end of 20 days.
